Here are some tips to remove the write-protection.
For some of external storage, there are switch on the storage itself especially SD Cards.
And for those who don't have switch on their external storage, follow these steps.
Step 1: Plug-in your external storage to your computer.
Step 2: Open RUN. Go to Start →Type RUN in the search box or simply press Windows + R in your keyboard.
Step 3: Type "regedit" w/o the " " and press enter.
Step 4: This is the tricky part.
Follow this location:
KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.
If you cannot find the folder "StorageDevicePolicies"
Click the folder "Control" and right click on the right plane.
New → Key
Rename the Key with "StorageDevicePolicies" w/o " ".
Right click on the plane New →DWORD (32 bit) Value
Rename it with "WriteProtect" w/o " ".
Right click on it and click "Modify"
Set the Value to zero (0) and click OK.
Step 5: Re-plug your external storage.
Now try it.
If still has the write-protection, check the value of WriteProtect.
and Re-plug your external storage again.
